Manchester United captain Harry Maguire asked police who arrested him in the Greek islands of Mykonos "Do you know who I am?" and wanting to give them money according to the case that is being heard.
The 27-year-old British security guard was among three people arrested on Thursday for allegedly arguing with police. Others present were Maguire's brother, 28, and his friend Christopher Sharman, 29.
All three are accused of assaulting police and inciting violence. Harry and Joe Maguire are also accused of trying to bribe, while Harry Maguire and Christopher Sharman are accused of making sparks of abuse.
However, the three have denied the charges against them. He is represented by Alexis Anagnostakis, a prominent Greek human rights lawyer who wanted the case adjourned but whose appeal was rejected by the judge.

Anagnostakis told the court that the incident was caused by her sister Maguire being drugged by an Albanian group and she immediately fainted. Defendant called for transport and asked to be taken to hospital but instead was taken to a hospital.
The prosecutor alleges that Maguire, his brother and a friend, physically and verbally assaulted police officers. One policeman claimed that while at the station:
Maguire asked him "Do you know who I am? He is the captain of the Manchester United team, I will be very rich, I can give you money, I can pay you, please let us go." His colleagues added that Maguire told him: "Please, let me go, I will be rich, I can pay, he is the leader of Manchester United." The case is still pending.
