U.S. President-elect Joe Biden has met with his national security advisers at a meeting that was not attended by state intelligence experts, while President Donald Trump continues to block the transition process.
Biden and his deputy Kamala Harris discussed various issues around the world at a meeting with intelligence officials and security experts.
Among those who attended the meeting were former deputy foreign minister Tony Blinken, former US ambassadors Nicholas Burns and Samantha Power; retired general Stanley McChrystal, among others.
In recent days, several Republican lawmakers have said that government intelligence officials should report the matter to Biden by January 20, the day he is expected to be sworn in.
President Donald Trump has continued to claim that he won the Nov 3 general election and that there was fraud in the election, without providing any evidence.
Several cases in which he has filed a lawsuit against the election results have been dropped for lack of evidence.
