US President Joe Biden yesterday opened a meeting with leaders from Australia, India and Japan pledging to work with their allies to strengthen stability in the Indian and Pacific regions.
The video conference, which includes Biden and the prime ministers of Australia, India and Japan, comes at a time when Washington is looking for a way to counter China's economic and military might.
Biden told his fellow leaders that the autonomous region of India and the Pacific was crucial to mutual prosperity and encouraged the need to promote domestic and global economic growth.
Among other things, the conference will announce a financial agreement to produce more corona virus vaccines, partnerships in the manufacturing sector as well as product production.
