The embarrassing 5-0 defeat of Manchester United from Liverpool at Old Trafford has brought words and criticism against the team's coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Many fans believe that the Norwegian should be sacked immediately after the worst home defeat from their rivals, surpassing their previous 7-1 defeat at Liverpool in 1895, then known as Newton Heath.

Many of the team's former players, some of whom have played with Solskjaer, say the time has come for the coach to leave.

Manchester to fire Solskjaer?

Apparently now, if he will be given time to continue carrying the squad in the next few games. But that doesn't give him a ticket to feel safe in that seat. David Moyes and Jose Mourinho were sacked after Sunday's defeat of Manchester United. Moyes himself, after a 2-0 away defeat from Everton, a blow that meant the team would not finish in the top four, was sacked.

For Mourinho's part, a 3-1 defeat against Liverpool meant it was his last match to sharpen Manchester United's grip. They were all fired after Tuesday.

United bosses for months have been saying Solskjaer is taking the club in the right direction. Last season the coach signed a new 3-year contract, his assistant, Mike Phelan, was offered a contract earlier this month and talks are underway to extend the contract of his other coaches, Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna.

Even if he stays in the chair now, will he survive the next games that are difficult? In the next four games Manchester will play away next week against Tottenham, then Manchester City, they will face Chelsea and Watford.

If he has scored one point in the last four games, it is difficult to tolerate losing some points against the bigwigs. He may be able to score against Watford, but it is a difficult test to win against Spurs, City and Chelsea.

Man is currently in 7th place with 14 points. The team's chief executive, Ed Woodward is talking to the Glazer family who own the team almost every day. CEO Richard Arnold, who is expected to inherit Woodward's purse strings when he leaves later this year, has also been in constant contact with the owners. That raises concerns about Ole's position.

What is the attitude of the players?
The BBC is aware that the number of players who have lost faith with Solskjaer is growing. They don't believe in his tactics and think his ability is limited compared to other big club coaches like Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel.

This looks like the players want to evade their responsibility and push the burden Ole. However former players have also criticized Solskjaer's tactics and criticized the way his team played against Liverpool.

After the win against Atalanta on Wednesday when they were 2-0 down until the first half ended - former United midfielder Paul Scholes said he feared what would happen to Liverpool as the players were playing.

Unfortunately for them, they played the same way with the same squad against Liverpool and the embarrassing closure.

If he is fired, who will inherit his wallets?
The decision to retire is easier than finding an alternative. Many say Manchester United's decision to keep giving him a little more time if it proves so, has seen the difficulty of finding a successor.

But another simple decision and keeping Solskjaer to continue with his responsibilities, something that many fans are tired of. Even then, fans were not happy with the conduct of his coaches, but United continued to have them, for example Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Mourinho continued to occupy their seats for a long time despite the noise of immediate dismissal from fans.

Manchester's genetics give him a chance to this day. But fans are overjoyed now that it is time for the new coach to inherit his wallets.

The two big names mentioned now are former Chelsea coach Antonio Conte and former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.

Conte does not seem to have a chance due to a move away from United's top management, but his success last season, which gave Inter Milan the Serie A title, makes him one of the most imaginable.

Zidane has won many trophies at Real Madrid, despite concerns about staying in coaching matches, despite coaches such as Klopp and Guardiola having been praised for his ability to improve player standards.

The Frenchman has no team since leaving Madrid in May. He has no experience in the English Premier League and does not speak English elsa who has shown language is not a problem.

Apart from those coaches, there is Ajax coach Eric ten Hag who refused to leave in the middle of the season when he was asked to join Bayern Munich in 2019.

It all makes it difficult to get rid of Alas quickly.
