Speaking in Ol Kalou when he launched Trinity fm radio and television, the minister lamented that some social media outlets were being used to spread hatred, urging them to preach peace and reconciliation ahead of the 2022 general election.
"We will close these centers for the benefit of this nation. It is our responsibility to maintain peace and we will maintain the stability of this nation without any bias, ”said Matiang’i.
For his part, Information and Communication Technology Minister Joe Mucheru, who attended the event at Trinity Methodist Church, said he praised the digital system for enabling rural areas such as Ol Kalou to have broadcasting equipment.
Nyandarua County Governor Francis Kimemia encouraged investors to invest in the county as Nyandarua has great potential for growth and development.
Other attendees at the event included communications council director Ezra Chiloba, water and sanitation minister Sicily Kariuki and senior secretary in the sports ministry Zach Kinuthia among others.
