Firat signed a two-month contract with FKF where he was to oversee Kenya, in the remaining 4 World Cup qualifiers to be completed on Monday.
His contract would have been extended if he had qualified for Kenya for the third round of the World Cup but that has already happened, with the Stars 3rd with just 3 points.
The Turkish national was previously Moldovan coach when he led by 11 matches, 9 defeats and two draws.
The interim committee, headed by retired Judge Aaron, took over football management in Kenya on Friday with the FKF disbanded by sports minister Dr Amina Mohammed due to mismanagement and embezzlement.
