GSU officer kills his colleague by shooting him in Laikipia County

A GSU security officer on Tuesday shot and killed a colleague in the Laikipia West area following an altercation.

The two constables, who are based in the Miteta officers' camp, are part of a group of officers from various organizations who were sent to the area to evict the robbers at Laikipia Environmental Park.

It is alleged that a dispute broke out where one of the officers unexpectedly grabbed his gun and killed his colleague.

Confirming the incident, Laikipia Police Commander John Nyoike said the search for the killer officer was ongoing.

He added that the officer fled to a nearby bush where he continued firing into the air to intimidate his fellow hunters.
