Through a tweet, Hinga said the figures available on November 20 for the registration exercise show that Nairobi County leads with 37,800 youth applications, followed by Kiambu with 14,900 youth applications and Nakuru in third place with 9,650 applications from young people.
The online registration exercise, which is scheduled to continue until June 2022, was plagued by technical problems at the time of its launch and caused many to miss out on such services.
Hinga said the situation was caused by many people who were sending applications at the same time.
He advised those who are experiencing difficulties during registration to be patient as the matter is being addressed.
The third phase of the program aims to provide young people with life skills by finding employment or self-employment in areas such as plumbing, stone, and carpentry among other things.
