Nigeria Singer, Davido Celebrates His Birthday In Dubai

The Nigerian musician finally organized his birthday party on November 21 in Dubai with a few friends and colleagues. His celebration comes just days after he organized a donation in which friends and fans donated a large sum of money.

According to photos circulating online, Davido whose real name is David Adedeji Adeleke, and his colleagues were at one of the luxury restaurants where he is seen being fed golden meat by a chef. He was later seen cutting a small cake while his friends sang him songs to celebrate his birthday.

Regarding his contribution of 201 million naira equivalent to 54.8 million Kenyan shillings, Davido said he would distribute various orphanages in Nigeria. He said he would add 50 million Naira to the money before starting to distribute it explaining that he needs it but there are people who need it more.

He has formed a five-member committee that will oversee the entire distribution of the funds.

Members of the committee include Ms. Titi Adebayo who will serve as chairman, Prof. Jonathan Nwosu who will serve as secretary, Prof. Yahana Joel Asabe leader of the Adventist church in northern Nigeria, Pastor (Dr) Oyalabu of Spring Time Development Foundation and Prof. Uloma Onuoha.
