The AFRIMA Awards Ceremony was held on November 21, 2021 in Lagos, Nigeria and Shannah was present.
Only 13-year-old Shannah is a seventh grader at Rose of Sharon Academy and often sings gospel songs in English.
What she enjoys most is singing and dancing but she is also involved in sports issues at school.
She was born in Nairobi Kenya but moved to Geneva in Switzerland as a baby, then moved to Indonesia, Ethiopia where they stayed for 7 years and then returned to Kenya.
While in second grade living in Ethiopia his mother by the name Florence began looking for platforms for him to show off his singing talent.
There was a second grade talent contest in which her mother asked the teacher to allow her to participate but was denied because the teacher felt the child would look bigger than her peers.
A few weeks later he was accepted to participate in a fifth grade student competition where he sang well and was cheered on by many and emerged the winner.
Since then he has been using every opportunity he gets to showcase his talent and is now an accomplished gospel singer.
Shannah is the lead presenter of KBC's "Big Minds" children's program and is also a television presenter. Congratulations Shannah!
