Among the four is Aureliano Guzman-Loera, the brother of Joaquin "El Chapo" who was convicted and jailed in 2019 for smuggling millions of kilograms of drugs into the United States under a criminal gang called Sinaloa.
The U.S. Department of Justice has said it is also seeking reports of three Nevarez family members working under the umbrella of the Sinaloa group that runs the world's largest drug trafficking network.
Among the offenses they face is the importation of fentanyl, which between 2020 and 2021 accounts for 63% of drug-related deaths in the United States.
