Tim Wanyonyi launches campaign for Nairobi County Governor

Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi has announced his intention to run for Nairobi County Governor in next year's general election.

The event is being held on Sunday at the KICC International Conference Center in Nairobi on Sunday afternoon.

Announcing his 10-manifesto, Wanyonyi said he would focus on changing the face of Nairobi by setting up anti-corruption strategies, creating a cleaner working environment.

"I understand the problems of Nairobi and I also understand what is needed, today I came to officially announce my intention to run for Nairobi County governor and I will focus on improving this city in every sector to create a better environment for everyone" said Wanyonyi

Wanyonyi, who is also a lawyer, has been serving in parliament for the past 9 years for ODM party tickets and entered politics as a ward representative.

Wanyonyi is the first candidate to announce his candidacy for Nairobi County governor in 2022.

Shortly after the inauguration the MP began his official campaign in Nairobi.
