Tran Nzoia County emerges champion soccer competition between ward representatives in the country (CASA)

Trans-Nzoia County are the football champions in the third edition of the county legislature competition, which ended last Friday in Mombasa County.

Tranz Nzoia were crowned champions after conceding a goalless draw to Mombasa, a goal scored by Benard Ariangana in extra time.

Towards the final Trans-Nzoia beat Homabay 1-0 in the semi-finals while Mombasa thrashed Siaya with the same goal.

Former champions of the second edition of the tournament, Kakamega County were relegated.

Siaya County won the men's and women's basketball championship with the men's team beating Siaya Kajiado 3-0 while Siaya women beat West Pokot 3-2.
