The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has apologized to Deputy President William Ruto's partner and Maragua MP, Mary Wamaua, after she was messed up at the entry of the Azimio la Umoja Convention at Kasarani on Friday by Raila Odinga's Men dressed in Black.
In an assertion, ODM Chairman John Mbadi said the party and its chief Raila Odinga lamented the monstrous episode and that it will guarantee such occurrences don't occur once more.
"Despite the fact that it was not significantly an ODM undertaking, the Azimio la Umoja occasion, our party chief H.E. Hon Raila Odinga was the man existing apart from everything else and utilized the event to make a significant declaration about his political designs for 2022, thus as a party, we lament the monstrous episode and focus on guaranteeing such occurrences don't occur once more," said Mbadi.
"In the interest of the ODM party, I make a move to openly apologize to Hon.
"Wamaua for the profane taking care of and ask that she, along with individuals of Maragua will acknowledge our statement of regret," he added.
As per Mbadi, Raila is a solid protector of ladies' privileges and their strengthening and the party will do everything inside its capacity to ensure, guard and maintain the nobility of ladies.
In a video that has since turned into a web sensation, the disappointed Maragua MP was found in a fight with security authorities at the entry of Kasarani arena where the occasion was held.
She later left the scene of the occasion.
