William Ruto, Kenya's Deputy President, has set up a tent in Western Kenya to promote his presidential campaign and bottom-up economic strategy.
Ruto, 54, will hold 40 rallies in Kakamega, Bungoma, Busia, Trans Nzoia, and Vihiga counties during the next eight days in an attempt to fill his presidential basket in the 2022 presidential election on August 9th.
Ruto's visit to Mulembe Nation appears to have ruffled the feathers of respected blogger Robert Alai, who accused the second in command of importing Ugandans to Kenya, where they are given National Identity cards and allowed to vote in the August election.

Alai, who is also the social media adviser for the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), has requested that the National Intelligence Service (NIS) and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) look into the importation of voters from Uganda, particularly in Mt Elgon and some parts of Busia County.
"NIS and @DCI Kenya should look into why so many Ugandans are being abruptly transported into Mount Elgon and given Kenyan IDs."
Ruto is bringing Ugandans into the country to vote for him. On Wednesday, Alai posted on his Twitter page that "Busia and Mount Elgon will play a big role."
