Deputy President William Ruto is in negotiations with ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, and a coalition might be formed shortly.
ANC has granted Mudavadi complete authority to negotiate on behalf of the party and engage other lawmakers, including Deputy President William Ruto, according to Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala.
They are searching for a better deal, according to Malala, and if DP Ruto and his United Democratic Alliance (UDA) supporters offer them one, they will join the hustler movement.
Malala claimed that the ANC was eager to build the next government and that the party would not be limited in who it would engage in coalition discussions with in the run-up to the August General Election.
"Kenyans are free to participate in political debate with one another." We will not be constrained in who we may speak to as the ANC.
"We've given our party's leader the task of scouting for a viable coalition that can eventually form a government."
"It's fine with me if he gets a fair deal with DP," he said.
After DP set up camp in Mudavadi's Vihiga garden, the Senator responded.
He begged on Mudavadi to abandon ODM leader Raila Odinga and back his bid for the presidency.
