She claimed, however, that she couldn't recollect the events described online and that she didn't want to contribute them honestly

"In all honesty, I don't remember many of the events recorded online, but it doesn't rule out the possibility that those events badly affected others with whom I've worked and engaged." "I can also understand how such experiences contribute to the broader "mean girl" attitude that is supposed to exist in the Kenyan media business," she said.

Mandi went on to say that as she got older, she had to correct her behavior as soon as possible and learn from her errors and behaviors.

She saw the whole debate, which rattled the country's media business, as a chance to grow.

"To all individuals who have shared specific terrible experiences involving me, please know that although my goals were never to hurt you and what I now perceive as profound trauma, I realize that my words and actions may have contributed to it. Please accept my apologies for this.

"I feel horrible that some of my acts may have caused such grief to individuals who have engaged with me," she said. "That is not who I am today or what I stand for."

Mandi explained that she was calling for accountability in her tweet that sparked Gitobu's reaction.

"As a result, I pray and hope that anybody who has been wounded by former colleagues will discover new methods to handle those problems in a manner that allows them to be really addressed," she said.

When he was unable to afford a lifestyle where the wealthy acquire contemporary fashion wear to stand out from the crowd, Gitobu said that she would gather the whole workplace to mock his attire.

She also mocked him for making his lunch at home and transporting it to work instead of ordering it from one of the city's fine dining establishments.

"When I didn't have enough money to purchase the fashionable s**t she and her pals felt only those entitled to be in their company had to wear, this lady would put the whole workplace to a halt to make fun of my attire."

"This lady. Behind my back, they made up such terrible nicknames for me. And laughed in my face since I couldn't afford to buy gourmet lunch, so I cooked my own and carried," he wrote in part.

Gitobu also chastised her for jeopardizing his prospects of becoming a great radio host like her since he lacked her accent, which was credited with her success.
