Purity Ngirici, a Kirinyaga Woman Representative, has posted a statement on social media that might indicate that she is on her way to joining Raila Odinga's Azimio La Umoja campaign.
After Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru joined Hustler Nation, Ngirici was one of Deputy President William Ruto's lieutenants that defected.

Ngirici, a political heavyweight in Kirinyaga, claimed she was dissatisfied with the DP's camp because some leaders, whom she did not identify, had disregarded her despite her 'substantial' commitment in the party's presidential candidacy.
Ngirici also accused UDA of favoring Waiguru, her major political opponent, and raised concerns that the party's gubernatorial selections might be rigged against her.
She first stated that she would run as an independent candidate, but on Thursday, Ngirici indicated that she would be joining former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's Azimio La Umoja organization.
On her Facebook page, Ngirici posted, "Happy 77th Birthday Jakom."
