Previous Kakamega Senator, Dr. Boni Khalwale, is having restless evenings after Deputy President William Ruto accepted his rival in the Kakamega gubernatorial race.
On December 30th last year, the DP was spotted along with Kakamega Senator, Cleophas Malala, during a football competition at Mumias Sports Complex.
Faultless sources say during that time, the DP let Malala know who is an Amani National Congress party part and a nearby partner of ANC supervisor Musalia Mudavadi, that he will uphold his gubernatorial bid in 2022.
This is regardless of the way that Khalwale is DP's go-to person in Western Kenya and furthermore a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) part.
With the new political turns of events, Khalwale, who is currently a solitary officer in legislative issues, is reexamining his backing for Ruto and is presently looking for another party that he will challenge Malala with and not UDA in light of disloyalty.
A source near Khalwale says he may before long join previous Prime Minister Raila Odinga's Azimio La Umoja Movement to go Mano a mano with Malala who was supported by DP Ruto.
