After Extending His Power Beyond Retirement, Mudavadi and Wetangula Slam Uhuru

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and ANC party pioneer Musalia Mudavadi have hit out at President Uhuru Kenyatta after the Jubilee party concocted a game plan to expand his powers when his term closes in August.

Talking at Tononoka Grounds on Saturday, February 6, Wetangula expressed that the president was misdirected by the Jubilee Parliamentary Group(PG) who broadened his term as the party chief.

The FORD Kenya party pioneer expressed that the move was strange from different Heads of State who have resigned before him. He clarified that every one of the resigned presidents left their jobs as party pioneers subsequent to going out.

The representative expressed that the president gambled losing his height as a legislator assuming he chose to keep playing dynamic governmental issues after the approaching decisions.

"The individuals who are misleading you that you keep driving a party after you leave office are taking you adrift from the beaten track of resigned presidents. Whenever you resign you become a public legislator," he prompted.

During a PG meeting of the Jubilee party meeting held at State House on February 4, it was concluded that Kenyatta would keep being filling in as the party chief after his retirement in August.

The party authority noticed that the president actually had impact in public governmental issues and was entrusted with haggling with other official up-and-comers as they look to enter an alliance before the August surveys.

"The Jubilee Party will look to get into an alliance with similar gatherings and backing a Presidential Candidate with whom we share normal standards, who will approach us with deference, and with whom we can shape the following government as an 'Anchor Partner', to proceed with the work done during the most recent 10 years," read an assertion by the party.

Further, Uhuru vowed to back heads of the Jubilee party who had stayed faithful to him during his subsequent term.

On his part, the Amani National Congress (ANC) party pioneer expressed that the choice by Uhuru to stay in legislative issues after the August surveys was proof that he was the power behind the production of Azimio la Umoja.

He blamed the Head for State of involving previous Prime Minister Raila Odinga as a bait to stay in power.

"The puzzle of Azimio has been unwound. We have now understood that the proprietor of Azimio is non-other than Uhuru Kenyatta. He is the proprietor," Mudavadi expressed.
