After Uhuru Joined Azimio, the Most Recent Opinion Survey Reveals Who Is Likely to Win the Presidential Race Between Raila and Ruto

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga earned a significant boost on Saturday as President Uhuru Kenyatta joined over ten parties in backing his presidential run in August.

At a colorful event staged at Kasarani Gymnasium, over 12 party leaders declared their support for Raila Odinga's Azimio La Umoja Movement at a colorful event staged at Kasarani Gymnasium as the country prepares for a high-stakes election in August.

Following Uhuru's decision to join Azimio, a local blog launched an online poll asking Kenyans who they believed would win if the election were held today between Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto.

Over 1500 Kenyans took part, with 65.7 percent supporting DP Ruto and 34.3 percent supporting Raila.

This is a significant victory for DP Ruto because polls reveal that President Uhuru Kenyatta's decision to join the Azimio La Umoja Movement had little effect on his popularity, particularly in the Mount Kenya and Rift Valley areas.
