According to Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua's comments, Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka is allegedly playing hard to get.
As stated yesterday, Kalonzo has sought Ksh3 billion from President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga as a condition for joining Azimio La Umoja ahead of the August 9 General Election.
Mutua made the remarks at Maanzoni Lodge following a consultative meeting with professionals, business executives, and other leaders, including Governors Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni).
They challenged the Wiper leader to openly and unrestrictedly join the Azimio, La Umoja. They pledged that no Ukambani leader would jeopardize their strategy to back ODM leader Raila Odinga.
"We know they are not waiting to consider joining Azimio, rather they are waiting for money."
"We already know they've asked for Sh3 billion," Mutua remarked.
According to the Maendeleo Chap Chap Party Leader, Kalonzo has established a habit of auctioning off the Kamba community for his own personal gain.
"I have evidence that they requested money in previous years." They've requested money multiple times, and it's always been provided to them, "he adds.
Kalonzo has already stated that he will not back ODM leader Raila Odinga for the third time, stating that it is past time for Raila to reciprocate by supporting him.
