Kieni Constituency Member of Parliament, Kanini Kega, has uncovered what the Mt Kenya district needs from previous Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who is among the expected possibility to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.
Kega, who was having a meeting with one of the nearby dailies on Sunday, clarified that Mt Kenya isn't keen on the Deputy President position since previous President Mwai Kibaki was a VP and the locale didn't benefit.
"Our own isn't much with regards to the position we get on the grounds that we have had them (VP positions) previously however we didn't benefit as a local area," Kega said.
"What we are taking a gander at is the production of an empowering climate to carry on with work.
"As ranchers, we need a confirmation that our items will get a decent market.
"Notwithstanding, in the event that it accompanies a position, so be it," Kega added.
Kega is among senior Mt Kenya locale pioneers, who are lobbying for Raila Odinga's official bid in front of the August ninth official political race.
