After landing, Captain Ruth thanked her Kenya Airways training and detailed the conditions she experienced and how she was able to manage.
"Hello, this is Captain Ruth Karauri of the now-famous KQ 100, which landed at Heathrow on February 18.
"My first cop for the day, Ayub, is with me. We had the pleasure of experiencing Storm Eunice yesterday in London, as we were landing to the west.
"At the time, there were severe blowing gusts, and it was a rough trip." However, our training at Kenya Airways, particularly the simulator, had prepared us for such a circumstance.
"We used all of our training knowledge and previous talents, and we effectively handled the landing," she stated.
Here's a video of how she landed in the middle of a storm.
