NARC Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua has expressed confidence that ODM Leader Raila Odinga will be Kenya's next president.
During an interview, Karua warned Deputy President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza brothers - Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula - against underestimating Raila's ability in the presidential election on August 9th, warning they will be in for a harsh awakening.
She stated that it was incorrect to identify the former prime minister as a project, given that he had traditionally established himself without the help of the state.
"The project tag is inappropriate. Raila is a self-made politician, according to the head of the Narc Kenya party.
Karua, who is also a One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principal and, by extension, an Azimio supporter, questioned why Ruto and his ilk are dubbing Raila a project despite the fact that they are pupils of Raila Odinga's political schools.
"Raila Odinga is a campaign machine, those calling him a project - he has taught them politics, even the techniques they (William Ruto and others) use have been taken from Raila," Martha Karua remarked.
At the same time, the Kirinyaga gubernatorial candidate expressed confidence that OKA will be a formidable contender in the August General Election.
"The 2022 elections are not a two-horse contest; there are new entrants," Karua explained.
