A moderately aged man who has been assisting with the recovery of bodies from River Yala has crawled under a rock over capture fears.

On Wednesday, Nicholas Okero guaranteed that he had been captured and threatened by police in Yala Police Station who have been addressing him and his relatives.

Okero, who addressed columnists in Siaya Town, said he didn't rest at home final evening after a cop in Yala trusted in him that the State isn't content with him and that he ought to watch out.

"I was called by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations official in Yala, who let me know that the Homicide manager needed to meet me.

"The manslaughter supervisor should pay me Sh5,000 for the most recent body that I recovered from River Yala last Friday.

"It is the sum that they have been paying me.

After showing up at the DCI office in Yala, I was confined and my telephone seized. I was confined from 8:00 am up to 4:30 pm. I was not permitted to smoke cigarettes," he said.

Okero says that the crime official became antagonistic and constrained him to record an assertion clarifying his work.

He asserted that they speculate that he was concealing bodies in Ndanu falls in River Yala.

Okero said he is currently concealing some place since the police will capture him to confound people in general.

Up to this point, Okero has recovered 26 bodies, the most recent one being on Friday last week.
