Ruto Has Been Fired as Jubilee Party Deputy Leader

In a new list announced by the party on Saturday at the KICC hall in Nairobi, Deputy President William Ruto has been ousted as the party's deputy leader.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has been re-elected as the leader of the Jubilee party, which he will lead for the next five years.

Jubilee party chairman Nelson Nzuya remains the party's chairman while David Murathe is elected deputy chairman, while Kieni MP Kanini Kega is elected party director.

Jeremiah Kioni has been appointed as the new secretary general of the Jubilee party and replaces Raphael Tuju, who has resigned to run for office.

In a list read by Jubilee chairman Nelson Nzuya, Jimmy Angwenyi, Kitobu Ngatobu, Naomi Shaban, and Peter Mositet have been elected as the party's deputy chairpersons.

The Jubilee party changes were announced on Saturday at the KICC Hall in Nairobi, during a national Jubilee party delegation led by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Other guests who attended the forum included ODM party leader Raila Odinga, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU party leader Gideon Moi, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua and UDP leader Cyrus Jirongo.
