Nairobi Traffic Police Commander, Joshua Omukata, has affirmed that a portion of the Boda riders who were caught in a viral video attacking a female driver have been captured.
As indicated by the police chief, 16 suspects connected to the occurrence were confined at Parklands Police Station after the clasp became a web sensation and five cruisers were seized.
The episode occurred on Friday, March 4 after the woman allegedly hit a person on foot. It just became famous online yesterday after it was shared on Twitter.
In the video cut, the woman was seen being greeted by a gathering of Boda riders who orbited her vehicle and began hassling her.
Scared of her wellbeing, she endeavored to drive away, yet couldn't get far because of heavy traffic.
The group immediately found her and began hauling her out of the vehicle as she shouted for help.
The speculates will be accused of burglary with savagery after it was revealed that they had denied the woman her telephone and money worth Sh 130,000 during the emotional episode.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has since requested a crackdown on all bodaboda administrators in the nation after the occurrence.
