ODM Leader Raila Odinga can now relax after Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka dropped his bid for the running mate position; something giving Baba restless evenings considering he had guaranteed the situation to the crowded Mt. Kenya area.
Talking at a meeting yesterday, Kalonzo expressed that he wanted to be Raila's running mate in the August 9 survey, yet expressed that he was prepared to drop his aspiration relying on the prerequisite that he is assigned 33% of positions in the public authority.
Kalonzo, who filled in as a Vice President in the Mwai Kibaki government, retired his official bid and upheld Raila's desires for the third time running.
In 2013 and 2017 surveys, the Ukambani pioneer entered a settlement with Raila and Kenya Kwanza's Musalia Mudavadi.
In the arrangement that he made public last month, Raila had consented to help his official bid in the 2022 races.
Kalonzo presently says the new alliance arrangement is moored on three establishments whose subtleties are simply known to himself, President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila.
