The move is a blow to the party's leader Moses Wetangula, who had already made plans for the conference.
One of the leaders of the One Kenya Alliance, Musalia Mudavadi of the ANC, Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper, Gideon Moi of KANU and Cyrus Jirongo are among the leaders expected to attend the conference.
The move by the panel to deal with political party disputes stemmed from an urgent appeal filed by Crispinus Barasa.
The trial is set to begin on March 15. The party's leadership has been divided since June 2021, after Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi took over the party's leadership while Tongaren MP Dr Eseli Simiyu retained his post of secretary general.
As a result of the Waminyinyi move to take over the party's leadership, Moses Wetangula is now leading another party wing.
