An additional 70 people have been diagnosed with coronary heart disease from 5,755 samples tested over the past 24 hours, with an infection rate of 1.2 percent.
The total number of confirmed cases of infection in the country has now reached 253,409 with 2.7 million samples being tested since March 2020.
Nairobi County leads with 16 cases, Meru 9, Tharaka Nithi 6, Nakuru 4, with Bungoma, Busia, Siaya, Narok, Garissa and Kakamega copying three cases each.
The total number of deaths has also increased to 5,282 after one more patient died.
According to Health Minister Mutahi Kagwe, 444 more patients have been hospitalized across the country while 1,175 are being cared for at home.
26 patients have been admitted to the intensive care unit ICU, 12 of them are using respiratory aids and 14 are receiving extra Oxygen.
Meanwhile 36 more patients have recovered from the disease with 29 from the home care program and seven were allowed to leave various health facilities across the country.
The total number of Covid-19 survivors in the country is now 246,957 of which 199,487 are out of the home-care program and 47,470 are out of health facilities across the country.
