More than 103 people have been confirmed infected with Covid-19 in the country

The country has recorded 103 more COVID-19 cases after testing 4,617 samples in the last 24 hours and bringing the infection rate to 2.2 percent.

Of these, 96 are Kenyan nationals while 7 are foreign nationals, of which 53 are men and 50 are women. The youngest victim is a three-year-old child and the oldest is 97 years old.

The total number of certified visas in the country is now 253,512 with 2.7 million samples being tested.

Kericho County has led in the new infection with 18 cases, followed by Nairobi with 13 cases, Trans Nzoia 11, Nyamira 10, Migori 7, and Siaya and Turkana five cases each.

68 patients have recovered from the virus, seven of them from various health facilities and 61 were being treated at home. The total number of survivors is 247,025.

No deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, with the total number of deaths remaining 5,282.
