Speaking at a meeting with party wing MPs at a rally in Karen Street, Mudavadi said no Kenyan should be forced to support any candidate for political office, saying democracy must be respected and Kenyans' decision to be determined during elections.
At the same time, Musalia called on political leaders to support the preparations of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEC) to ensure free and fair elections.
This comes after Nyeri MP Ngunjiri Wambugu called on the chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Wafula Chebukati to resign on the grounds that he was involved in politics.
