Nick Ruto, the eldest son of Deputy President William Ruto, married Evelyn Chemtai, his long-term partner, in a traditional Kalenjin wedding known as Koito over the weekend.

The event was place at the Windy Ridge hotel in Karen, and it was by invitation only.

Nick's wife is the daughter of David Barno, a famous Laikipia County businessman and a well-known land scammer.

In land fraud cases, his name has come up frequently.

He was one of the suspects in an alleged SGR compensation fraud in Embakasi, Nairobi County, in which millions of shillings were given to undeserving people and businesses for land where the SGR goes through.

"David Barno Barno Barno Barno Barno Barno Barno Barno Barn Wah! "Nearly every type of land fraud case has a name attached to it." Birds of a feather do really flock together. Nick Ruto, congratulations on your Koito.

After Google his name, a Twitter user observed, "Dynasties in Kenya are certainly never born but manufactured."

He allegedly conspires with rogue National Land Commission personnel to snare valuable real estate and conduct other shady land dealings.

Nick's father-in-law is said to be one of the wealthiest men in Laikipia County, where he owns a number of ranches.
