Robert Alai Orders His Friends and Relatives to Bury Him in a Plain Casket and Not to Eat During His Burial

Robert Alai, a popular blogger and Nyando Parliamentary contender, has given his friends and family instructions on how he wants to be buried after he dies.

Alai said on his social media platforms that when he dies, he wants a modest burial.

He shared a picture of a handcrafted wooden box he'd want to be buried in and said that no food should be offered to mourners at his funeral.

Alai believes that individuals should be supported while they are living, hence he does not believe that he should be given a kingly send-off when he dies.

He went on to say that the money spent on lavish funerals should be given to help the ill or feed widows and orphans.

"To my family and friends." Send me home in such a plain coffin when I die, and never eat at my funeral.

"Help the surviving get through this." Spending money on the dead is a waste of money.

"Just bury me 6 feet underneath." He wrote, "I'd prefer you contribute the vast sums you squander on dead corpses to help the sick or feed widows and orphans."

Alai's words elicited a wide range of responses from his fans, with the majority of them agreeing with him.

One of his followers stated, "This is knowledge, easy and plain to those who use death to exhibit their enormous strength instead of enjoying the living."

"Very correct, let us learn to support folks who are still living," said another.
