Deputy President Dr. William Ruto and his Kenyan counterpart, Musalia Mudavadi, left the country on Sunday morning for a visit to Britain and the United States.
The Deputy President has taken a 12-day break from political campaigns to address various issues in the two countries.
The head of his presidential campaign unit, Governor Josephat Nanok, was with him at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Also present was Kwale County Governor Salim Mvurya.
The head of his international relations unit, Ababu Namwamba, announcing the visit, said the deputy president had been invited by senior officials and policy institutions in Washington and London.
