Kimani Ngunjiri, a Bahati Member of Parliament, has been linked to the killing of prominent Kenyan environmentalist Joannah Stutchbury.
Joannah, 67, was murdered at her Nairobi home in July of last year.
She had stopped her car to remove branches from her driveway when she was shot many times, according to friends.
Neighbors discovered her dead in the car, which had the engine running and belongings inside, indicating that the incident was not a robbery.

Stutchbury had previously spoken out against Kimani Ngunjiri's intentions to develop in the adjoining Kiambu forest and had received death threats.
According to a preliminary investigation provided by the Senate's National Security, Defence, and Foreign Relations Committee, Ngunjiri was implicated in the murder because his firm, Agro Pack Limited, intended to construct in the Kiambu forest.
Joannah, according to the article, was also opposing the company's plan to expand into the forest by constructing a road that could lead to the company's farm.
The committee's suggestion is for the Inspector General of Police and the Director of Criminal Investigations to investigate the stated individual (Kimani) in order to make an arrest and prosecute him for Joannah's murder.
