The blame game over who is to blame for Kenya's economic collapse continues, with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, going after each other for their involvement in bringing the country's economy to its knees.

Uhuru recently chastised Ruto for orchestrating the collapse of key firms in the nation, leaving millions of young people jobless, when speaking at State House to over 3000 youths.

Most businesses failed during DP Ruto's tenure as Agriculture Minister in President Mwai Kibaki's cabinet, according to Uhuru.

When Ruto and his staff were in control, they failed to restore the agriculture industry, therefore the Head of State questioned why they were criticizing his government now.

"In our country, we've also had Ministers in charge of Agriculture." I'm being lectured about the fall of Mumias Sugar and Nzoia Sugar today.

"Was I there when those objects collapsed?" says the narrator. As youngsters sang Ruto's name, President Uhuru posed.

"Those who accuse me," Uhuru said, "ask yourselves where they were when those enterprises were failing."

In response, the president stated that his administration has made significant progress in improving the lives of farmers across the country.

"Go to Mwea now and see how folks are tossing away their rice; we are now extending that rice initiative."

"Our jail, military, police, and even government buy grains from Mwea today," Uhuru remarked.

Deputy President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza brigade recently accused Uhuru's government of doing nothing while vital enterprises in the Western region collapsed while on a visit of the region.

If the DP wins the General Election on August 9, they have promised to resuscitate the sugar sector using their bottom-up economic approach.
