Jimmy Wanjigi, an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Presidential candidate, has warned members of the Luo community why former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will never be elected President of Kenya in August.

Wanjigi stated on Sunday in Kabondo-Kasipul Constituency, Homa Bay County, that the ODM leader does not have the same level of support as he did when he stood for president under the National Super Alliance coalition.

"Raila has not been popular with Mt. Kenyans in more than two general elections, in contrast to me, who has been welcomed in Nyanza."

"To make matters worse, the individual who is transporting him to Central has failed the country."

"I don't think he'll be successful there," Wanjigi remarked.

Wanjigi went on to say that he believes he has a greater chance of winning the August 9th election than Raila Odinga and that he will not abandon his presidential ambitions.

"I am running for president and will not listen to anyone who tells me to give up," he stated.
