ODM Leader Raila Odinga has repudiated the previous Gatanga MP, Peter Kenneth, as his favored running mate in the impending August 9th official political decision.
Tending to columnists yesterday, Raila denied charges that he had chosen Peter Kenneth as his running mate in August.
As indicated by Raila, Peter Kenneth has not made a conventional solicitation to be his running mate.
He noticed the yet-to-be enlisted Azimio La Umoja Coalition would banter on the issue of the running mate at a fitting time, adding that for the time being, they are centered around making a solid development to counter William Ruto's developing ubiquity.
"Peter Kenneth has not requested to be a running mate. So we are yet to begin discussing who will be his running mate.
"We are making a development. We will examine the issues when the opportunity arrives, "Raila said.
Speaking on a similar occasion, Kenneth said President Uhuru Kenyatta's turf will uphold Raila Odinga genuinely.
"We are supporting the fifth with practically no circumstances since we accept that we are protected under Raila.
"As a local area as well as a country overall," Kenneth said.
The comments come at a time when Kenneth has been tipped as Raila's most probable running mate in the August 9 official surveys.
Assessments of public sentiment have positioned Kenneth in front of Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui and Narc Kenya pioneer Martha Karua as the favored possibility for Raila's appointee.
Raila is expected to name his running mate from the vote-rich Mt. Kenya region, in an effort to combine GEMA votes.
