President Uhuru Kenyatta has today experienced a significant blow after one of his lieutenants from Garissa County unloaded the Jubilee Party and joined Deputy President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
In a web-based media post, Garissa County Women's Representative, Anab Gure Subow, declared that she had authoritatively joined Ruto's outfit in the wake of "paying attention to the ground."
Gure further affirmed that she won't safeguard her women's representative position and she will challenge for the Fafi parliamentary seat on a UDA party ticket.
I have formally left the Jubilee Party and joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to challenge for the Fafi parliamentary seat. This excursion is relentless, "Gure said on Friday.
This is a major catastrophe for President Uhuru Kenyatta since the legislator was among the individuals who were finding support for previous Prime Minister Raila Odinga's official bid in the North-Eastern district.
"She was among the mainstays of Raila's Azimio La Umoja Movement in the North Eastern," said one of Gure's nearby associates.
Uhuru is supporting Raila Odinga's offer in August.
