Deputy President William Ruto has blamed President Uhuru Kenyatta for hoodwinking him over the handshake with ODM Leader Raila Odinga.
Talking during a meeting in the United States, DP Ruto said that Uhuru had been advised about the handshake and that Raila had mentioned to be worked with to resign from governmental issues, something he has not done.
As per Ruto, each dread he had about Raila before his handshake with Uhuru has happened.
I asked, do you anticipate that he should resign? I know Raila and know his games, each dread I had has happened, said the Deputy President.

DP Ruto conceded that he definitely approved of the handshake yet all that they had at first settled on different.
He noticed that changing the constitution was not piece of the handshake bargain.
We didn't talk about that the handshake would kill the resistance, we disagreed that this was an activity that would include changing the constitution.
DP Ruto said that the handshake cost the nation's resistance and the decision party, which caused the country to lose course on the improvement plan they had set out.
All that we disagreed on, turned into the handshake. We lost the resistance, we lost the decision party, we lost course and the huge four plan, he expressed.
