Previous Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has given an assertion following the court choice permitting the swearing-in of Anne Kananu as the considerable legislative head of Nairobi City County.

In an assertion Monday, Sonko expressed that he had surrendered rout after the Supreme Court tossed out his request trying to impede appointee lead representative, Anne Kananu, from being confirmed.

Sonko lost his gubernatorial seat in 2020 after the Senate casted a ballot for an arraignment movement passed by the Nairobi County Assembly against him.

In his assertion, the removed lead representative offered thanks to Nairobi inhabitants for permitting him to serve them in the limit of Governor starting around 2017.

"I surrender rout by tolerating the Supreme Court's decision this (Monday) evening. God's planning is awesome and a period will come whenever he will allow me one more opportunity to serve Kenyans in any way."

"I'm always appreciative for the chance I had working for you, I will keep doing as such.

"Until further notice we pass on everything to God. We live to battle one more day. Be that as it may, aluta continua as life should continue," composed Sonko.

Sonko had documented an allure in the Apex Court trying to prevent his representative from assuming control over activities at City Hall, with the court briefly stopping the swearing-in that was scheduled for October 26, 2021.

The Supreme Court, while making its assurance, refered to the shortfall of the Court of Appeal judgment as one reason for dropping the case.
